Youth Football

Buccaneers Youth Football programs help children and their families enjoy the football experience every time they step on a field. Programs designed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NFL are also a resource for coaches, helping them promote a positive experience for all participants. Dedicated to educating children and coaches about football in the National Football League, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have developed a wide range of programs to enhance skills both on and off the field. Below is a listing of the various Youth Football programs that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently operating.

Buccaneers Flag Football Camp

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie Club hosted the Bucs’ first flag football camp in June 2007 for 60 children from the Tampa Bay area. Utilizing drills from the Gatorade Junior Training Camp program and the knowledge of Buccaneers players, coaches and trainers, the drafted first-year players taught the youth football and nutrition fundamentals before coaching them in a friendly game of flag football. The children went home with a better knowledge of how to act on and off the field to succeed in sports and in life.

The Buccaneers Flag Football Camp is designed for groups or organizations.  The Buccaneers do not accept individual applicants for the camp.  All groups or organizations that will be a part of the football camp will be notified by Buccaneers personnel.  For more information on how your group or organization can be part of a Buccaneers flag football camp, contact the Bucs Community Relations Department at 813.870.2700.

Gatorade Junior Training Camp

Through Gatorade Junior Training Camp, children are invited to participate in football drills after the Buccaneers daily practices during the team’s training camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. Gatorade Junior Training Camp is a free grassroots program that emphasizes education, exercise and positive choices for kids in a safe and fun environment. The clinic is designed for children in fifth to eighth grades.

NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Program

The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick program creates a lively and engaging forum for boys and girls ages 8 to 15 to compete in punting, passing and placekicking skills. The National Football League and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers want every child to be given an equal opportunity to compete. Therefore, there is no registration fee or purchase required for any participant to enter. Established in 1961, the Punt, Pass & Kick program is the oldest NFL Youth Football program.
